As a mother and daughter team, we're quite literally family. The love stories that came before us and the legacies they leave, are the reason we became wedding photographers... to preserve those legacies of love for you and your family.
To each wedding we photograph, we bring the wisdom of those that came before. For 13 years we've had the privilege of working with DC's most beautiful, kind, loving couples, documenting their wedding days and creating heirloom photos to span the generations.
If there's one thing you should know about us, it is how much of ourselves we pour into our work. The gravity of our work and the knowledge that these photos are all you'll have left, is never lost on us.
We come back to that shoebox often.
To sift through the familiar faces, and remind ourselves of not only the memories we cherish, but the reason why we became wedding photographers.
Our passion for photography grew out of a love affair with an old shoebox of black and white photos. There, in that dusty box, we were told the stories of our family's history. We saw love's legacy in the faces of our parent's parents on their wedding days. These photos, the stories they tell, are the prologues to our own legacies of love.
One thing is for sure.
On your wedding day we will be your champions, your biggest fans, and your support team. With us, creating beautiful, genuine, story telling images is easy, effortless, and fun.
Sometimes it feels like we share the same brain. Other times, our eyes see the same split second in completely different ways. Our eyes see different things, but our hearts come from the same place of love for the weddings we photograph.
As wedding photographers, we're absolutely ourselves. No ego, no fluff, just easy & genuine fun.
A lifetime of classical dance training has given Maggie a keen sense of physicality, allowing her to effortlessly choreograph movement into still images. Her timing is intuitive, knowing when to step in to help nudge the photos in the right direction, and when to step back and let life happen.
THE DAUGHTER
Maddie is an extraordinary photographer, who shares our desire to create heirloom images that tell the stories of our couples. Her personal photography style meshes beautifully with ours. We know you'll love her as much as we do.
and we immediately knew she was exactly who we had been looking for, without knowing it.
Maddie began working with us as a wedding day assistant - loading gear, watching the clock, keeping us on time, keeping us laughing, you name it.

Through those dance classes, we saw that Maddie has impeccable work ethic, is a beautiful artist in her own right, and has a way of always being in tune with the emotions of others around her.
From day one, we knew it would be a tremendous challenge to find another photographer we could trust to work along side us. It took 13 years, but we found her... meet Maddie!
Maddie came into our lives years ago, as one of Maggie's ballet students. (P.S. Maggie used to be a dancer and taught ballet for several years.)
